Dead frog 5"
Like the dead cat geometry, the dead frog has a less pronounced forward sweep to keep the front blades out of view. The frog also sports a split-Z style frame, raising the rear motors out of the front's prop wash which reduces flutter. A rear brace strengthens the connection between top and bottom, reducing strain on the standoffs.
Despite the stepped frame, the dead frog has an almost perfect symmetrical motor arrangement. Two spaces are provided for 20x20 or 30.5x30.5 mounted electronics. The rear mount is only a few millimeters forward of center, and the battery mounts on the center of gravity to avoid slowing down pitch movements. The battery is protected from the rear props with two standoffs.
Standard 20x20 flight cameras fit the 3D printed mount, which fits over the forward standoffs. The picture is 99% unobstructed by frame or props. Significant motor protection is built in, adding to the frog namesake.
This quad isn't a light weight, but it's tough and it looks amazing in the air and on the ground!
